The Swerve Lady and HB (nickname for Lee) left Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from LAX to Heathrow in London to visit our daughter's family. We haven't seen them for almost a year - and Stella (12) is now a young lady and no longer a little girl! We have really missed them, even though we had Bertie, their English Terrier, to care for until we put him on a plane to England.
We are going on an author's tour to Guernsey (Potato Peel Pie Society) Haworth (Bronte Sisters' home) and Windermere (Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit). We hope to have "high tea" at Ms. Potter's!

We are headed to Normandy, France on June 6, for
the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Landing in WWII. My father,
Walter Lindberg, participated in the invasion. He landed a Glider with paratroopers, at midnight behind enemy lines, in the first wave
of assault by the 101st Airborne Division.
This historical event seems to be a return favor for the Norman Conquest of England by William the Conqueror in 1066. While in Normandy, we will also
see the renown Bayeux Tapestry, which depicts that 11th century event. This will be an exciting visit!
We will head to Paris, after Normandy, (if time) to visit the Lourve, and hopefully have lunch on top of the Eiffel Tower! Stay tuned for this amazing journey!
